  • How long is this training course?

    The training course should take you anywhere from 4 to 8 hours, depending on your current comfort level with MindTap, technology, and how long you take to practice what you learn. You may take the course at your own pace, stopping and starting as it fits your schedule.

  • Are there any pre-requisites for this training course?

    The only two pre-requisites are: (a) Your school is using MindTap or is in active communication with Milady to use MindTap in the future, AND (b) Having a Cengage Instructor Account.

  • Will I receive a Certificate of Completion and earn CEUs?

    Upon successful completion of the training course and earning at least 70% on the Final Exam, you will receive a Certificate of Completion with 4.0 continuing education units (CEUs). While this training is not endorsed by states and accrediting agencies, it is designed to help educators get comfortable with using MindTap by utilizing it both in-classroom and outside of the classroom for distance/hybrid education. The course covers fundamentals of using MindTap as an educational aid and to effectively deliver educational content.

    Yes! You can take this course before you roll-out MindTap. With over 2 hours of interactive videos along with a variety of hands-on activities, you will learn the very fundamentals every educator needs to use MindTap successfully with confidence and ease. Then, you’ll be ready to get started and implement it into your classes!

  • Why should I take this training course?

    Whether you are just getting started, or have been using MindTap for a while now, this training course is for you. With over 2 hours of interactive videos along with a variety of hands-on activities, you will learn the very fundamentals every educator needs to use MindTap successfully with confidence and ease.

    Upon completion of the course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion which you can proudly display for your students and fellow educators to see. And as an added value, you will receive one credit towards your Milady Master Educator Certification.

  • How is the course structured?

    There are eight primary lessons in the training course with an assessment at the end of each lesson as well as a final exam. You must pass the final exam with a score of 70% in order to obtain the Certificate of Completion.

  • Is this the only course I will need to take to be comfortable with MindTap?

    We recommend that you take this course to learn the fundamentals of the platform. Once you complete this course, you should take MindTap for Administrators (if you're an administrator), or MindTap for Instructors (coming soon if you're an instructor) to understand the key functionality you need to become a MindTap expert.

  • Does this count as credit towards my Master Educator Certification?

    Upon completion of this training course, you will receive one (1) credit toward your Milady Master Educator Certification.
